One hour of darkness can lead to a lifetime of change
Harrah’s Resort SoCal supports and protects Mother Earth with many CodeGreeninitiatives. We have reduced our energy use per-square-foot by 21 percent since 2007. We have reduced our water use by 20 percent since 2008. We recycle, sanitize, rebottle and repackage unused hygiene products and send them to people in need in other parts of the world and yes, we have the largest solar panel field of any Harrah’s property in the United States! But there’s one more way to support Mother Earth and we’d love to have a helping hand. Don’t worry, we aren’t asking you to install solar panels or anything major. We simply ask that you turn off your lights.
Earth Hour 2018 is Saturday, March 24th and with it comes an hour of darkness in the name of Mother Earth. Starting at 8:30pm Harrah’s Resort SoCal will go dark with the rest of the world in the name of environmental stewardship.
Would you like to participate? Great! If you are staying with us feel free turn off your room lights from 8:30pm to 9:30pm. For you at home, show Mother Earth how much she means to you by going dark and turning off all electrical equipment.
Good planets are tough to find. Let’s keep ours green!
