Our Commitment
As the best resort in Funner, CA we go above and beyond to help our guests, our Team Members, the community and the environment. Harrah’s Resort SoCal is proud to offer support in the form of volunteer time as well as cash and in-kind donations to support positive change in the people and communities of Southern California.
On December 2, the Harrah's Resort SoCal team joined forces for Giving Tuesday and brought the Funner State of Mind to seven charities throughout San Diego county. Check out our recap to see how we went all-in on giving back!
What a wonderful day for all involved! On August 15, Harrah’s Resort SoCal celebrated the 15 winners of the 11th annual All-in 4 Change cash grant program with a beautiful luncheon event. With $250,000 in grants on the line, we saw hundreds of entries from charities ranging from environmental causes, elderly assistance, military, youth, LGBTQ services and more! A big shout out to all who attended this year’s event, including our event host Mario Lopez who graciously handed each winner their prize.
The Rincon Fire Department, alongside Team Members from Harrah’s Resort SoCal and members of the community, honored the bravery of the 343 FDNY fire fighters and 71 law enforcement officers who gave the ultimate sacrifice on September 11. The group participated in the forth annual 9/11 Stair Climb, tackling the 22 flights of stairs in the North Tower Resort Tower five times, for a total of 110 stories – equal to the number of flights in the former World Trade Center towers. In solidarity with the fallen first responders, all members of the Rincon Fire Department made the climb. Thank you to all who participated in this memorable and moving event.
A proud partner to San Diego Pride since 2012, Harrah’s Resort SoCal team members once again brought the spirit of inclusivity and diversity that Funner, CA stands for to the Pride Parade. Hundreds of team members, friends and family wearing pink, purple and teal made history on July 20, marching in solidarity, waving rainbow flags and showing their love for the LGTBQ+ community. Check out this and other historical moments from the 2024 San Diego Pride Parade!
Harrah’s Resort SoCal Team Members geared up and got their hands dirty for a great cause at the Habitat for Humanity Women’s Build! The team worked hand-in-hand with the Habitat for Humanity crew to raise walls, paint trim, stain wood and add special touches to a home that will go to a family in need in San Diego County.
