Harrah’s Resort SoCal goes All-in on Giving Back
We’re a close-knit family here at Harrah’s Resort SoCal. But when we say “close-knit” we don’t just mean those within the Funner, CA city limits. We consider the entire San Diego community our family as well and nurturing that community is something we take with a great deal of pride. In the spirit of our community-loving nature, we’ve partnered with Interfaith Community Services to deliver 300 Clean The World hygiene kits to those who need it most.
“Interfaith Community Services provides a much-needed resource for the homeless in Escondido and the North County region.” says corporate citizenship communications manager Sheryl Sebastion. “We have partnered with them since 2016. Our first event with them was the Giving TuesdayHashtag Lunchbag delivery event. Since then we’ve averaged two events a year. For our first donation of 2022 we are donating Clean The World hygiene kits in spirit of Earth Month and our CodeGreen initiatives.” she adds. “Not only are these hygiene kits eco-conscious, but they provide much-needed hygiene supplies to those who have limited or no access to them.”
"The need for hygiene items is constant." says Interfaith Community Services. "This community has been impacted by Covid-19 with people losing their jobs, homes and security. The amount of people visiting us for services has increased 8 times over since the pandemic began in March of 2020. We're all in this together. We're so thankful to have a partnership with Harrah's Resort SoCal. We know how important donations like these are and to have a partnership with Harrah's Resort SoCal is remarkable for us and the community."
