Graham Russell & Russell Hitchcock met in 1975—bonding over their love for The Beatles—and quickly became the one guitar, two-voiced phenomenon known as Air Supply. While playing pizza parlors and night clubs across Sydney, Australia, the duo truly caught momentum when their two-song demo cassette fell into the welcoming hands of CBS Records. But even after opening for rock legend Rod Stewart, Air Supply went back to the musical drawing board to truly break into the US market. They made a record titled Life Support that somehow found its way to New York music executive Clive Davis. And under Davis’ Arista Records, Air Supply’s “Lost in Love” became the fastest selling single in the world in 1980. At the time the band equaled The Beatles' run of consecutive top five singles. Their albums Lost in Love, The One That You Love, Now & Forever, and The Greatest Hits sold more than 20 million copies.
Multi-million radio plays, adoring fans and album copies later, the soaring tenor voice of Russell Hitchcock and the majestic songs of Graham Russell still captivate stages today, and in 2013, the duo was inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association’s Hall of Fame. Air Supply celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2015 and continue to delight fans with favorites like “All Out of Love," "Sweet Dreams" and "Making Love Out of Nothing at All.”
We are thrilled to welcome Air Supply back for another amazing show in Funner, CA!
