Witness the star power of Alejandro Fernández as he walks between the sounds of innovative pop and traditional ranchera on Sunday, September 22. Fernández is one of Mexico’s biggest international music stars, as well as the son of icon Vicente Fernández. He established himself as a ranchero singer during the 1990s alongside his self-titled debut album that was nominated for Regional Mexican Album of the Year at the Lo Nuestro Awards in 1993.
Four years and four albums later, he debuted his first foray into Latin pop with the chart-topping “Me Estoy Enamorando.” He hasn’t been a stranger to the charts since.
In total, nine of his albums have ascended to the top spot on Latin Pop charts, while 11 more have entered the U.S. Top 200. Fernández continued to alternate between traditional albums of ranchera music, until he came up with an idea for a new project, “Dos Munos,” which consisted of two separate albums, “Evolución” and “Tradición,” released on the same day. The former was Latin pop focused, the latter traditional ranchera and mariachi music. Fernándezhas been on multiple tours and has worked with many Latin celebrities and musicians. Fernández continues to share his pop hits and ranchera tunes with the world.
