Harrah’s Resort SoCal pampers for a purpose with Michelle’s Place
Nothing is more relaxing or soul soothing than a spa day. Pampering yourself with a full body massage or soaking in a blissful exfoliating salt bath are perfect ways to leave your worries behind. That’s why Harrah’s Resort SoCal decided to treat the most deserving women we know to a Funner spa day.
Harrah’s Resort SoCal hosted 45 breast cancer patients and survivors from Michelle’s Place for our first annual All-in 4 Pink Pampering Event at our newly remodeled Spa. What is Michelle’s Place you ask? Opened in honor of the late Michelle Watson, Michelle’s Place is a local resource center where breast cancer patients can receive emotional comfort and have an opportunity to talk with someone who is surviving breast cancer and learning to cope with the disease. A truly compassionate community resource.
We pampered the day away and raffled off spa treatments, free stays and other Harrah’s Resort SoCal goodies to our guests of honor. But we didn’t stop there. Harrah’s Resort SoCal donated $5,000 to Michelle’s Place while CBS donated an additional $1,000! And to top it off, we’re still tallying up donations from our visiting guests. It was an event filled with joy and happiness that sent a clear message.
Yes, there is hope.
