Is Funner a real place?
Yes! The area located at 33 degrees 14’ 26” N, 117 degrees 00’ 51” W was officially and unanimously re-named by the Rincon Band of Luiseno Mission Indians as Funner, California on August 1, 2016.
Since that date Funner continues to prevail as the most fun city in the state of California, if not the entire United States.
Is there really a mayor of Funner?
Of course! Every city needs a leader. On May 18, 2017 David Hasselhoff took the Oath of Funner and was inaugurated as the first official mayor of this brand new city.
David Hasselhoff: May 2017 – 2019
The Hoff represented the “Funner State of Mind” that all guests can find when they visit Harrah’s Resort SoCal.
Rob Riggle: May 2019 – 2022
The Golden Age of Funner was rolled out when Mayor Riggle took his glorious place on the purple throne. He kicked boredom to the curb and encouraged all visitors to let their “Funner Flag Fly.
Jane Lynch: May 2022 – May 2024
By offering “Funner for everyone,” Mayor Lynch offered “Fun around every corner” and helped every visitor to Harrah’s Resort SoCal find their “Funner state of mind.”

A body which is considered liquid gold in Southern California, since 1894, Lake Wohlford has held only local water and is named after one of the founders of the Escondido Municipal Water Company.
